Australian Bircher Museli Recipe
Museli is an incredibly popular breakfast especially here in Australia. I think in the US, we know Museli as something that’s written on a box filled with dry oats, nuts and dried fruits. In Australia, museli is taken to the next level and people go crazy for it, so I’ll show you how to make your own.
Museli was developed around 1900 by Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner for patients in his hospital, and it was based on a higher fruit ratio than nowadays. There are so many different ways to eat this healthy breakfast option & it has become rather popular in our own house, so it must be good!
