Friday Snapshot: Caye Caulker, Belize
We arrived on this tiny island feeling a bit sad since we’d made a bad decision that resulted in having some of our gear stolen, something that left me literally in tears. 30 minutes after arrival however, we’d met Bobby, who drove us to his guesthouse on the other side of the island, given us a great room, and after a few days here I let go of the bad stuff and concentrated on drinking Bobby’s version of Jesus juice, eating fresh fish everyday washed down with several Belikins. Life was good again.
The morning we were set to head out to the Blue Hole the trip was cancelled due to bad weather so we decided to stay up and walk around to photograph the sunrise. This phone booth in the photo is near the split, and I’m not sure if it’s still there, but it seems like such a photogenic place to make a phone call….“Hello? It’s me, calling from paradise”…..
Have you encountered a picture perfect phone booth in your travels? Where was it?
