Friday Snapshot: Chiang Dao Cave

Friday Snapshot: Chiang Dao

Exploring the town of Chiang Dao was a surprise delight. We explored the caves with a local guide, since it was the only way to see the cave without getting lost. Our guide provided the light and waited while I took endless photos, including this one of her showing us the way deeper into the cave.

Without the light we’re plunged into darkness

It was hot inside the cave and we were sweating profusely. Somehow I always thought caves were cooler than the outside temperatures, but this is not always the case!

Exploring new caves is always an adventure- do you agree? I would love to go cave diving as well. Where are some of your favorite caves located?

  • I don’t know if I could do this!! It is such a tiny little space! But, it sure sounds like a cool experience. :)

It was a series of tiny spaces to crawl through, and the spiders in the caves were massive…but the adrenaline gets up and you get so excited. I know you’d crawl in a cave with me anytime…right?
