Introducing EatWith- like Airbnb but for food!

I love this concept so much I thought I’d write a post in case you hadn’t heard about it yet. EatWith comes from the awesome folks at GowithOh, who have gorgeous European apartments for rent so you can live more like a local. Now they’ve taken this to the next level with the EatWith concept.

It works like this:

Browse the site to find the kind of food experience you want to have, ex. You’re going to be in Denmark and you want to meet some locals and try some delicious food.

Bring up the list for Denmark- there’s a host in a hip part of Copenhagen who’s offering Danish ‘Smørrebrød’ using local organic ingredients washed down with cold Danish beer. Sounds good right? You can then check out the menu, amenities offered at the location such as wifi or street parking, and you can also see the price of the meal per person. Follow the steps to book yourself in, and go enjoy a night of local food with new friends!

Sounds like a great concept right?

Right now, EatWith is running a contest on their Facebook Fan Page:

All you have to do is be a Fan of their Facebook page to enter to win.

Registration open until: 09/30/2013 11:59pm. Go to their Facebook page and enter a few details and you’ll be entered.

Or if you can’t wait to try out a great meal with new friends all over the world, just go to EatWith and register yourself to experience this new concept for yourself!

*I was not asked to write this post nor am I receiving anything for it, I just wanted to let everyone know what a great idea this is and if we had a home I would definitely be a host on EatWith because I love feeding people!
