South Florida Cooking Class with the NAKED bite

I had the pleasure of attending a cooking class today with Chef Amber Antonelli from The Naked Bite.

Through the power of the internet, I had met Chef Amber via a photographer friend of mine, and we realized that we had both had the pleasure of living in Thailand. When Amber relocated to Miami and started posting recipes & cooking classes on The Naked Bite I knew I wanted to meet this talented woman. I loved her willingness to source out local ingredients as I am a big fan of eating local.

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-5

I took my mom with me since she loves to cook as much as I do. As soon as we arrived, we were treated to some rosemary & sage water. This was different!

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-6

Chef Amber had an easy going personality and she has expertise in cooking raw and vegan, super healthy and exactly what I was looking for. It is true what they say- when you eat good, you feel good.

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-7

The Vegan Nut & Fruit Granola Bars were crunchy and sweet. I had to force myself to stop eating them!

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-4

This roasted beet & carrot salad with Tahini dressing was delicious. I love garbanzo beans and the glazed carrots with beets were sweet and a great addition to this salad.

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-2

Raw carrot cake truffles. How good do these look?

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-3

Moroccan miso carrot salad, which has already been replicated by my mom here at home, definitely a winner.

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-8

This beet green chopped salad was interesting to make since Chef Amber used the beet greens as well, something that I had been meaning to do but not really sure of a good recipe for them. Healthy and colorful!

The Naked Bite Cooking Class-1

This is chocolate and chia seed pudding sprinkled with coconut. We also got to taste a vanilla version.

If you couldn’t tell from the photos, we ate incredibly good. Everything was easy to make and easy to substitute for anything else you wanted to use, which is the beauty of cooking. I was happy to participate in this class to get some ideas to help me stay on the healthy eating path. I plan on publishing a few of these recipes with my own twist on them soon!

I was grateful to have the experience of attending a cooking class in my hometown, and with my mom who was always my inspiration for cooking.

Thank you to Chef Amber for having us, and if you are in South Florida we recommend taking a cooking class with her. Find her on FB at The Naked Bite.

Tell us-

Where have you attended your favorite cooking class? Where do you want to attend a cooking class in the future? For us, we are hoping to attend one in Istanbul next month!

*We attended Chef Amber’s class as a 2 for 1 special. She did not ask us to rave about her food and as always all opinions are our own!
